BEACH
In the southern part of Zante lays the small and quiet resort of Keri
which stands in a beautiful bay with fine golden and shimmering sand
and superb crystalline waters.
Some taverns and cafe-bars can be found along the bay from where one
can enjoy a wonderful view.
From the small and picturesque port of Keri visitors can participate
to the organised boat tours for the beautiful and mysterious Blue
Caves.

ALYKES AND ALYKANAS
18 kilometres north-west of the capital of Zante visitors will find
the resort of Alykes which owns its name from the salt-pits (alykes
in Greek) which can be found in abundance behind the village.
The beautiful beach of Alykes attracts many visitors with its fine
sand and its crystal-clear waters.
A lot of restaurants, bars and touristy shops are boarding the main
road which is passing through the settlement. The area proposes various
accommodations.
Alykanas is coastal settlement which is laying a couple of kilometres
from Alykes. It is less popular than Alykes even if it has a wonderful
sandy beach with crystalline waters.
Many archaeological sites of great importance and interest can be
found in the surrounding area.

TSILIVI BEACH AND RESORT
The
recent and constantly developing resort of Tsilivi lies at 6 kilometres
from the capital of Zante and welcomes many visitors every year. The
resort proposes various hotels, apartments and studios for rent as
well as many restaurants, bars, shops and taverns.
One of the reasons of the great popularity of Tsilivi is its long
beach offering golden sand and clear waters, as well as various sea
sports facilities.

KALAMAKI BEACH AND RESORT
This
very beautiful sandy beach is, like Laganas, also part of the National
Marine Park and protected by the Greek and international legislation
order because it is another habitat of the endangered sea turtle Caretta-Caretta.
Kalamaki is lying on the end of the eastern side of the bay of Laganas,
7 kilometres south of the capital of Zante.
The impressive rocky formations which are overlooking the beach are
offering a panoramic view over the bay of Laganas.

The Greek and international
legislation is protecting the wonderful beach of Laganas for it is
one of the birthplaces of the endangered specie of the sea turtle
Caretta-Caretta; the beach is also part of the National Marine Park.
Many restaurants, bars and touristy shops are lining the main road
of Laganas and various luxurious hotels with swimming pools can be
found behind this road, as well as many other facilities.

The beaches of the area of Vassilikos
- Porto Zoro:

Situated 17 kilometres from the capital of Zante, the fine sandy beach
of Porto Zoro has calm, clean and clear waters. Behind the beach visitors
will find a couple of taverns and some rooms for rent. Incredibly
beautiful and impressive rocky formations are emerging from the sea,
creating a tragic and mysterious scenery.
- Banana Beach: 
Many consider the long sandy beach of Banana as one of the most beautiful
beaches of the island of Zante. The beach has wonderful crystal-clear
waters and proposes a few beach bars as well as sun beds and umbrellas.
- Agios Nikolaos: The small and beautiful sandy beach
of Agios Nikolaos was name like that because of the little chapel
which stands on its left side end. This lovely beach has a restaurant
and a bar and proposes some sea sports facilities and scuba diving
courses.
- Porto Roma: Porto Roma owns its name to the famous
personage of Zante, Alexandros Romas. The beach is picturesque, quiet
and unspoiled and has golden sandy and crystal-clear waters.
- Gerakas:
The long sandy beach of Gerakas is considered as one of the most wonderful
beaches of Zante for it has wonderful crystalline turquoise waters
and its incredible natural beauty is totally unspoiled and preserved
by the Greek and international legislation for the protection of the
endangered sea turtle Caretta-Caretta. No hotels, bars or restaurants
are spoiling the wild beauty of Gerakas.
The small bay of Gerakas is embellished even more by an impressive
and beautiful rocky formation.
